Behind the Dreams: Meet Trevor of Select Locksmiths & Security.

As the Mornington Peninsula continues its second lockdown, it is more important than ever that we maintain the sense of connection our local community is famous for! This is where 'Behind the Dreams' comes in. We'll be meeting our vibrant, local building and design industry professionals for 10 fun, quick-fire questions.

 Trevor Hauser - Director of Select Locksmiths & Security.

Tell us about you! What brought you to the Mornington Peninsula?

Trevor: I've lived in the area the majority of my life and it's the best place around compared to the places I've travelled. It's all here! Beaches, surfing, shopping, great friendly people, lots to do in a normal non iso environment.

How do you like to live?

Trevor: I like to live around my family and friends. They're always close by to chat or lend a hand when needed.

What’s the highlight of your working week?

Trevor: Coming home to my family and puppies. Luckily I do this everyday!!

Describe your business in 20 words 😉, no more!

Trevor: Family run Locksmiths in the South Eastern suburbs who help the locals secure and protect their family friends and valuables.

What do you do on a Saturday?

Trevor: We spend the day renovating or with friends or family but at the moment renovating.

What’s your favourite house or garden trend at the moment?

Trevor: Not really following any trends but enjoy the creatives who design and think up some of the wonderful projects I see.

Your proudest business moment?

Trevor: Letting a mother back into her home once she had accidentally locked herself out. Little stories like this are my proudest moments.

What do you secretly wish clients knew?

Trevor: That I love being a locksmith. That's why I'm here! I know so much about the craft, and I'm eager to use this skill to help where I can. And maybe the quote; "Quality isn't cheap, and cheap isn't quality".

If you were a house… which one would you be? And why?

Trevor: A log cabin out in the forest near a surf beach. I don't really know why, but the peaceful life is far more alluring to me than a city apartment!
