As the Mornington Peninsula enters our second COVID-19 lockdown, it is more important than ever that we maintain the sense of connection our local community is famous for! This is where ‘Behind the Dreams’ comes in. We’ll be meeting our vibrant, local building and design industry professionals for 10 fun, quick-fire questions.
Meet Nathan, Director of ESP Plumbing Solutions, in Rye.
Tell us about you! What brought you to the Mornington Peninsula?
Nathan: We moved to the Mornington Peninsula to be close to family after 8 years living in the Dandenong Ranges. We swapped the bush for the beach, and there is honestly, no other place we would rather live than here!
How do you like to live?
Nathan: I like to stay fit and healthy, so I bodyboard as much as I can. I also enjoy a plant based diet to keep me in tip top form, and time spent with my family is my favourite time spent.
What’s the highlight of your working week?
Nathan: Seeing our team reach goals, and the apprentices doing well. Also completing jobs and having happy, satisfied customers. Jobs close to home here on the Peninsula are also huge highlights of my week.
Describe your business in 20 words 😉, no more!
Nathan: ESP Plumbing Solutions are a qualified, dedicated and licensed team specialising in all aspects of general plumbing and gas fitting.
What do you do on a Saturday?
Nathan: Hanging out with my wife Kye and our two kids, chasing the waves wherever and whenever the conditions are right, and listening to my extensive vinyl collection. We are also a footy family, so enjoy heading to the MCG on game days.
What’s your favourite house or garden trend at the moment?
Nathan: I’m partial to Colorbond cladding, the potential is endless, and it’s just so Australian.
Your proudest business moment?
Nathan: Watching my apprentices start out so green, and over the years turn into really independent and capable tradesmen, that’s pretty awesome.
What do you secretly wish clients knew?
Nathan: That we are always on their side, working towards a common goal.
If you were a house… which one would you be? And why?
Nathan: Definitely a beach house, overlooking sand dunes with the perfect waves rolling in.
Thank you Nathan for sharing a bit about yourself with our Building Dreams community!
